Yoga & Pilates with Me
I teach group classes in yoga and Pilates, as well as do one-on-one personal training. Please check my group class schedule or my Personal Trainer page for details.
I am certified in sports yoga, which is a moving type of yoga that is taught on a mat. Men and women who want to excel in sports often are attracted to it. Modifications can be made to make it easier for a wider range of people. No Eastern meditation is included. The atmosphere is light-hearted, as well as meditative. The type of yoga movements I teach increase flexibility as well as strength and balance. Stretching seems to lift you up both physically and emotionally. Strong core muscles are achieved by supporting your own weight, and being strong inside gives confidence to walk tall with good posture. My classes and training sessions facilitate deeper respiration to remove toxins and help to manage stress.
Chair yoga is also available.
Pilates (pronounced pih-LAH- teez) is a series of exercises performed on a mat while sitting, lying down or on your hands and knees. Pilates is designed to strengthen your abdominal and lower back muscles to align your posture. In class or during personal training, you can expect moderately paced movements that strengthen your core. Pilates encourages a more youthful appearance with better joint mobility and spinal movement.

Personal training price for yoga and Pilates is $45.00 for 50 minutes or $30 for 30 minutes plus 7 percent sales tax ($48.15 or $32.10) in my home studio.
